So I tried a whole bunch of Josie Maran beauty products, such as the Josie Maran Argan Black Oil Mascara, the Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer and the Josie Maran Argan Oil Light and thought I like to share today with you my thoughts!
Josie Maran is cruelty free and her motto is: "Luxury With a Conscience." They use pure, Fair Trade Argan Oil, grown and harvested responsibly by co-ops of Moroccan women who earn a living wage and partner with earth-loving, women-empowering organizations, use eco-friendly packaging.
"With much love for Planet Earth and all on it"
is her sweet message.
Her real name is Johanna Selhorst "Josie" Maran and she is an American Model, actress and also the owner of the cosmetic line Josie Maran. She is born 1978 which makes her 2 years younger then me. ;-) Look at this gorgeous women!

Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Eyeshadow

| First Day: I applied wrong and it was a disaster |
But thank God I tried it again the next day: this time without an eye primer and with a Q-tip (it comes with a dove- wand but I did not want to cause bacteria growth and rather use only throw away Q-tips) and THIS TIME IT WORKED! (BTW YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO SHAKE THE BOTTLE BEFORE USE!)
How gorgeous this color is! THE PERFECT ROSE GOLD! I am in Love with this product! When applied correctly the pigmentation is out of this world. You need only the tiniest amount and it will be enough for both eyes plus it is super long lasting! Amazing!
Once it dried completely you can even add some normal eyeshadow to work in that crease or whatever you prefer! Only drawback: it can accentuate fine lines quite a bit.

The Josie Maran Argan Black Oil Mascara Black ($22)is a fabulolus Mascara- I love the unique wand. The Mascara very much reminds me on the Too Faced Better than Sex which I also love.
The formula is not too wet and not too dry and I find it gives me lots of volume and definition. I also love to know that I apply a mascara with natural ingredients (Argan oil)- makes me somehow feel as if I am doing something right! ;-)

The Josie Maran Argan Infinity Lip and Cheek Creamy Oil (Limitless Pink)
is another product you have to practice on how to apply it. This is strongly pigmented and I think I could not ever finish this tube in a lifetime! The tiniest drop delivers such strong color.The color is red but will look on your face very fresh, hydrated - as if you just took a fast walk in a forest. The best way to apply it is in my opinion to rub it between your fingers first- it will then liquify pretty much like a light weight oil. Then you can dab it careful onto your cheeks (or lips).
It still is not my favorite and I find it somehow hard to achieve a seamless look. I just prefer powder blush more and find it easier to work with. But I also have oily skin, so this might simply not be the right product for me. I do not like to use this on my lips either as I find it runny.
Josie Maran Argan Illuminizer
The Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer ($26) works like a dream! You will get healthy beautiful radiant looking skin but not look like a 14 year old played with too much highlighter! My favorite way to apply this is to mix it together in my palms with my foundation and apply this only on my cheeks.
This does not look overpowering and does also not accentuate my fine lines.
This is the best natural looking Illuminizer I have tried! Love it!
Josie Maran Argan light
The Josie Maran 100 percent Pure Argan Oil Light ($16)
is a beautiful way to moisturize your skin. It has this typical nutty natural scent of Argan oil and feels very nice. I especially love to use it only around my eyes because I am pretty sensitive there and this Argan oil does not irritate me. I do BTW not think that there is a big difference, if you use the "light" vs. the "normal" version. If you have oily skin like me, you can still get away wit the "normal" version but just use a tiny drop.I do really love this Argan oil but I do find that there is brands out there that deliver the same quality of Argan oil without being so ridiculous expensive. The Josie Maran Argan Oil Hair Serum
is a wonderful light weight oil for your hair- probably only for those with dry hair (like me) suited best. I always use 2 products on my hair (first a lotion) and an oil is always the second product. I am careful to only apply it on my dry ends and it helps against the frizz and gives some natural shine.This Hair serum smells very nice, a light fresh and clean scent which completely reminds me on the Klettenwurzel Haaröl (a German product I used to use). The little pump is very convenient and gives the right amount out to work into your hair. Love this!
