RODAN + FIELDS REDEFINE REGIMEN REVIEW | FOR THE APPEARANCE OF LINES, PORES AND LOSS OF FIRMNESS
So, what is this skin care regime made for?
The Rodan + Fields REDEFINE is a comprehensive skincare regimen that layers cosmetic ingredients and proven peptide technology to help defend against and reduce the visible signs of aging for noticeably firmer, smoother, flawless-looking skin.
I am using the whole skin care regimen since 8 weeks to really make up my mind!
Step 1: Rodan + Fields Redefine Daily Cleansing Mask:
What a gorgeous product this is! This is actually like 2 steps in one because first you use it as a scrub to polish all those dead skin layers away- but then instead of washing it off, you just leave it on for a couple of minutes as a mask that get´s rid of impurities in your skin!
It smells super fresh and the scrub has the perfect consistency: not too abrasive but not too gentle! I love this mask! Mine is almost empty and I am quite sad about it!
This is in fact one of my favorite scrubs AND masks (winner in both categories) I have ever tried!
Please know that you will need to cleanse your face before this Cleansing Mask as you can not use this to remove your eye make up!
Step 2: Rodan + Fields Redefine Pore Minimizing Toner:
What a refreshing gorgeous toner! My skin felt balanced and clean and fresh with this toner. Almost empty as well!
Step 3 in the morning:Rodan + Fields Redefine Triple Defense Treatment:
A light weight beautiful Moisturizer that includes also an SPF of 30. Smells clean and fresh. Enjoyed this!
Step 3 in the night: Rodan + Fields Overnight Restorative Cream:
This moisturizer felt a bit sticky to me (probably cause I have oily skin). It is really deeply moisturizing. It is loaded with Vitamin A, C and E and I needed only a tiny layer of it. If you have dry skin, I think you will love this moisturizer tremendously!
Now here comes the probably most important
product of this line:
Rodan + Fields ACUTE CARE Eye Gels for Expression Lines: (10 pairs for $220)
Claims:
smooths expression lines with proprietary Liquid Cone Technology that melts line-defying peptides and hyaluronic acid directly into the wrinkle for a more youthful appearance. You can experience long-lasting results after ten applications, and you may even see results after the very first use. It’s so simple, you can do it in your sleep.
What it is: Eye strips with Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid and SH-Oligopeptide-1.
These are clear, thick "gel strips" that you stick under your eyes. When you stick them under your eyes you gently press them to activate the little liquid cones and smooth out any bubbles. Every time I applied the strips I could feel a bit of discomfort- a bit of a stingy feel- not so bad that it hurt but very noticeable. The feeling always diminished after a couple of minutes.
Well, I guess that is the price you have to pay to look beautiful lol.
I found it a bit uncomfortable to sleep with them as well- you have to really find your "sweet spot" to apply them correctly- as you should not remove them once you applied them. Little tip: I would not go to close to the eye corner when applying, as this really feels uncomfortable.

You actually use these strips only every 3 nights- so that gives you 2 nights of comfortable sleep! ;-)
You get a little calendar with the system, so you don´t forget on which nights to use the strips.
I got used to the feel of the strips under my eyes but I had another problem: OK: I am a real weird sleeper I guess. I toss and turn and have wild dreams! I am not one of those that fall asleep and wake up in the same position they fell asleep- I probably switch my sleeping position a million times in a night!
Here is what happened because of this: the strips under my eyes wrinkle all up and are not in the smooth position I put them on before I went to bed.
After my first night with sleeping with these one of my eyes (photo on the right) was pretty swollen and looked a bit blue! On the other hand: the other eye was so super soft and plump like a fresh born baby! ;-)
I have to admit: this scared me a bit! But I also noticed that the skin was very plump, super soft and hydrated. This happened to me every time that I had a really "wild sleep". I guess these would work better for people that sleep mostly in one position, so that the strips do not get a chance to move around. I just can´t sleep still! LOL!
Now let´s see some results as I am using the whole skin care regimen since 8 weeks (the strips only every third night). I hope these close up don´t scare you. Well- they certainly scare me! ;-)
I did pictures without and with smiling as I noticed that my lines are better visible if I smile lol.
You be the judge! I can really feel how the Rodan + Fields REDEFINE & ACUTE CARE makes my skin feel more firm, hydrated and especially in the morning I feel how plump my skin is under my eyes. If you are not a "wild sleeper" like me and suffer from crows feet and lines around your eyes, you should really give the ACUTE CARE a chance- you might be surprised how plump your skin feels, even after only one night! ;-)
I am not sure I see results on my photos though? But then again: I am afraid that my sleeping habits of tossing and turning are effecting the results of the strips! What do you think?
