Barefaced Dead Sea Mud Mask Review
So, yesterday was another Sunday and Sunday means in my house: spa day! Lucky me that I had another face mask to try! Love the 2 meanings of "barefaced"! :-)
Barefaced is cruelty free.
Here are the claims of the Barefaced Mud Mask:
"Proven to Naturally Improve the Appearance & Feel of our Skin
- Tone, tighten and improve skin texture.
- Exfoliate, unclog and purify pores. Help rid your skin of blackheads and imperfections.
- Draw out unseen excess oils and impurities.
- Moisturize and stimulate skin collagen to help fight wrinkles.
- All natural and organic ingredients. Paraben free."

After opening up the jar I noticed a strong scent- a very hard to explain scent- it is a bit of a strange "natural" smell mixed with the fresh scent of eucalyptus but when I apply it on my face the scent is not that strong anymore.
This mask contains all natural Ingredients: Dead Sea Mud, Organic Lavender Essential Oil, Organic Eucalyptus Essential Oil, Hickory Bark Extract, Non GMO Xanthan Gum, Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Water, Kaolin Clay, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Vegetable Glycerin, Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Calendula Oil
The consistency seems a bit slimy but it applies very easy on skin.
It has this really dark mud color and after applying it I got right away this tingling sensation. Not in a unpleasant way- it felt very nice! I am not sure this will work on very sensitive skin but if you have normal to oily skin that does not get irritated quickly this will work awesome.
I had it on for 15 minutes and it got really hard and I had quite a lot of work washing the mask of with water again. But the results were very nice. I tend to get some blackheads on my forehead and some blemishes on my chin and this mask did an fantastic job in helping healing some of those. I found my face felt very clean and tight (in a good way) afterwards.
Skip the - in my opinion- overhyped, overpriced (and not cruelty free) Glam Glow Mask and try this one!
Pros: cruelty free, natural ingredients, cleans impurities, nice tingling sensation, tightening effect
Cons: maybe not good for those with sensitive skin

Have a great day,
