These shampoos may cause hair loss- toss them! 🗑️

Unbelievable, but the following brands are putting dangerous chemicals in shampoo that may lead to hair loss scalp burns etc: TRESemmé, WEN, Suave, Selsun Blue, OGX, Mane 'n Tail and DevaCurl. Please be careful! You might want to throw your shampoo in the trash if you are using any of these!

Two women who say they suffered hair loss and painful scalp burns from TRESemmé keratin shampoo and conditioner have filed a class action lawsuit against the manufacturer for failing to warn them about what they say is a dangerous chemical in the products.

Suave Professionals shampoo and conditioner contain DMDM hydantoin, a preservative that causes hair loss and scalp irritation, and releases toxins that are known human carcinogens, a new class action lawsuit alleges.

4. Selsun Blue Class Action Lawsuit Alleging Hair Loss, Scalp Irritation (source)

Toxic chemicals in the anti-dandruff shampoo Selsun Blue can actually aggravate scalp problems and even lead to hair loss, a class action lawsuit claims. Lead plaintiff Emily Lewis accuses the shampoo maker, Sanofi-Aventis, of failing to inform consumers about toxic ingredients like selenium sulfide used in the product.

6. Mane ‘n Tail Products Leach Formaldehyde, Causing Hair Loss, Scalp Irritation (source)

The class action lawsuit alleges that Mane ‘n Tail shampoos and conditioners “contain an ingredient or combination of ingredients that causes significant hair loss and/or scalp irritation upon proper application. At least one ingredient in the Products, DMDM hydantoin, is a formaldehyde donor known to slowly leach formaldehyde when coming into contact with water.” 

7. DevaCurl Class Action Says Products Cause Hair Loss (source)

Angry customers have taken to social media to complain about DevaCurl hair loss, the Deva Concepts class action lawsuit says. One Facebook group that raises concern about DevaCurl scalp irritation and hair loss reportedly has nearly 50,000 members.
